Cricketqube Secures Support from UnLtd - Delivering Social Change in Our Community

Cricketqube is proud to announce our award from UnLtd, the UK’s foundation for social entrepreneurs. The award’s funding and tailored business support will significantly help Cricketqube to create positive social impact for the BAME community and older people.

Cricketqube’s fundamental proposition is to offer a low cost, quick-fire way of healthy living, building fitness and making new friends while having the added spice of team competition. Cricketqube was founded in 2020 as a result of our ambition to play cricket all around the year. We provide you the chance to test yourselves by playing our indoor cricket and backyard cricket tournaments.

Our main cricket format of backyard cricket - complete with clothesline and wheelie bins! - is geared especially towards the mission of helping older adults to be mentally and physically healthy. Our all-weather, all-year games will increase our customers' health and confidence in weeks.

The Covid-19 pandemic has made people aware of the importance of having a healthy body and a healthy ageing process. We will be one of the driving forces of this renewed health push in the North East, the most obese region in the UK.

The pandemic has also highlighted the health inequalities in our society with the BAME community disproportionately affected by Covid-19 and lifestyle illnesses. This provides us with an opportunity to really connect with our key target markets.

Alosh, co-founder and director of Cricketqube, said: “With UnLtd’s support, Cricketuqbe can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives and help them enjoy their later lives.”

UnLtd is currently working hard with partners from both the public and private sectors to deliver social impact by harnessing the huge potential of social entrepreneurs to solve society’s biggest challenges.
